Chocolate Chip Bread

Ingredients

Nonstick cooking spray

2 cups all-purpose flour, extra for dusting

2 teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

½ cup unsalted butter, at room temperature

1 ½ cups granulated sugar

3 large eggs

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

1 cup FAGE Sour Cream

½ cup whole milk

1 ½ cups mini chocolate chips, divided

 

Chocolate sauce:

2 tablespoons whole milk

¼ cup mini chocolate chips

    Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line two 8 ½ x 4 ½ -inch loaf pans with parchment paper and grease with a non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a stand mixer bowl fitted with a paddle attachment, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  5. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  6. Slowly add in the flour and mix for about 2 minutes.
  7. Fold in 1 cup chocolate chips with a spatula.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pans and top with the remaining ½ cup of chocolate chips on top.
  9. Bake for 55 minutes to 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  10. For the chocolate sauce, microwave the milk in a small bowl for 30 seconds until simmering. Stir in chocolate chips until smooth.
  11. Place the cake into a serving platter and drizzle chocolate sauce over the cake.
